How to Make Roasted Garlic
If you’re a garlic lover, then learning how to make roasted garlic is hands-down one of the best decisions you will make!
Why is roasted garlic so great?
When you roast garlic, the hard, pungent cloves transform into a sweet, garlicky delicacy which you can literally spread like butter!
If you consider yourself somewhat of a garlic noob, this is one of the best places to start. Try some of this roasted garlic and you’ll never look back.
And if you consider yourself a garlic connoisseur, but you’ve yet to try roasting your own garlic like this, prepare to have your mind blown.
The best part is…
It’s SO easy to roast garlic!
Follow these five steps and you will never eat garlic the same way again!
Supplies & Ingredients
Garlic Bulbs (As many as you want to roast)
Olive Oil
Aluminum Foil
Step 1:
Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees.
Step 2:
Using a knife, carefully cut off the top 1/2 inch of the garlic bulb, exposing the cloves.
Step 3:
Drizzle the cut garlic surface with olive oil. (I did the same with the tops because there was still some valuable pieces of clove in there!)
Step 4:
Wrap the garlic in aluminum foil so they are completely covered.
Step 5:
Roast your garlic at 400 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour.
The longer you roast them, the better they will be!
Roasted Garlic Serving Suggestion
Let your roasted garlic cool for a few minutes, and then with a butter knife, scoop out the roasted cloves and spread them on a saltine cracker.
The flavor combination of the sweet, spreadable garlic clove is amazing with the crisp and savory saltine. My grandpa showed me how to eat roasted garlic like this when i was younger, and I’ll never stop!
